Part 2 Good Vibes, Good Life by Vex King
For my book jacket I wanted to make it peaceful, wellness kind of looking. For the front of this book I related the scenery for what the book is about. It looks relaxing and peaceful. I took out the palm trees and chairs, I added the beach for the relaxation, changed the sky of the beach to a more sun setting vibe. The sun setting because I think that can be a vibe to think and find inner peace in. I added some birds in the sky for nature. I added the radio because some people enjoy meditation music while doing yoga. I added the girl doing yoga in front of the beach to shower her becoming grounded with her inner self. I did the Good Vibes, in purple because that is 1 of the meditation, self-healing colors and so is blue. I put Vex King name in black in the corner so it doesn't take a way to much of the attention off the picture on the spine of the it is the same picture but i changed the color tint just a little so you can tell where the front and the back of the book is. I put vex king and his publishing logo in a white grayish see through color so you can still see the sand. For the back of the book i flipped the picture and added his scan and logo with what the book is about in my own words. I put a white square and made the opacity see through so you can still see the beach and pam trees.
I think my cover is effective because this book is about relaxing, opening your mind to different views. Wanting to learn more about yourself. Vex king teaches you how to meditate, do yoga, open up your chakras to be more intuitive with the world. He takes you on a self-healing journey to be more positive and happier with life and become more grounded with yourself and the world. I think the beach is a perfect place to meditate and do yoga. Some beaches have nature around which can help you become more grounded. Listening to the water or waves can be soothing to the soul. The sun setting can set a vibe to also help feel relaxed. For the back I didn't want to take away from too much of the picture, so I kept the beach the original and added the box and sky so the front and spine and flow smoothly with the back.
